Myrtus Black Beauty
Myrtus x ralphii 'Black Beauty'
A standout foliage shrub with intensely coloured leaves in hues of dark-red, bronze and black - an effect that makes Black Beauty one of the most effective texture, background and indoor-foliage-display shrubs that we've seen. Colour's intensified in winter, and is encouraged by regular clipping and picking for indoor work.
Feature:

Foliage feature shrub in intense glossy dark shades.

Uses: Screens, back of border, specimen planting and floral work.
Position: Plant in sun or shade; sunny conditions encourage better colour. It needs shelter when young, but becomes more robust with age. Needs good drainage.
Care: Clip to shape and maintain colour. Apply light dressing of general fertiliser early in autumn.
